Pleasant Valley is 8-2 against the Hornets since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Pleasant Valley Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Enterprise Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Pleasant Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Foothill with points to spare, taking the game 78-63. Given Pleasant Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Cougars are ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Cam Bussey, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Garretson, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Enterprise slipped by the Panthers 53-52 on Tuesday.
Wes Ramirez was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Ja'Kye Rawls was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Pleasant Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to an identical 17-7.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Pleasant Valley hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 56.8 points per game. However, it's not like Enterprise struggles in that department as they've been averaging 55 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Pleasant Valley came up short against the Hornets in their previous meeting back in January, falling 55-48. Will Pleasant Valley have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
