There's no place like home for the Weehawken Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They snuck past American History with a 66-62 victory on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Bald Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ahmad Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Westterlin Dejesus, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Weehawken's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for American History, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weehawken will take on the Aviators at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Jersey (Hasbrouck Heights is ranked 357th, while the Indians are ranked 349th).
