Poplar Bluff won the last time they faced Sikeston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mules put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 13-7 win. Considering the Mules have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Dylan Hall was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Schalk, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

The victory made it two in a row for Poplar Bluff and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Sikeston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Poplar Bluff will square off against Cooter at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sikeston, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ste. Genevieve at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
