The Gloucester Fishermen were the 59-49 winner over the Danvers Falcons when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Gloucester fell 57-46 to Danvers on Tuesday.
Danvers was led to victory by Zachary Calabro and Kevin Ahearn. Calabro scored 14 points along with four steals, while Ahearn scored 21 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The matchup was Ahearn's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luke Metivier, who scored six points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Gloucester's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Danvers, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Gloucester will head out on the road to face off against Swampscott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Danvers will be home for the holidays to greet Prospect Hill Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th.
