The Wylie Prep Academy Patriots stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 54-31 margin over Highlands. The victory was familiar territory for Wylie Prep Academy who now have seven in a row.
Wylie Prep Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Peterson out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 24 rebounds. Peterson has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Layton Gerhart, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Wylie Prep Academy pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-18.
