If Jarrell wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Wimberley, they should've done a better job of containing  Maverick Jacobs. It took a bit of extra time, but the Texans secured  a   35-34  win against the Cougars in overtime on Friday thanks in part to  Jacobs: he rushed for 143 yards and three  TDs while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Jacobs is becoming a predictor of Wimberley's success: when he posts  at  least two  rushing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
 Despite the loss, Jarrell still got an impressive performance from   Joseph Travis, who rushed for 182 yards and three  touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Wimberley now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Jarrell, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 7-1.
