The Pass Christian Pirates will face off against the Quitman Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pass Christian walked away with it. They really took it to Richland for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-6 win at home. The victory was familiar territory for Pass Christian who now have three in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pass Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ladd Scriber, who threw for 309 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Terry Patton Jr, who picked up 169 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Quitman waltzed into Friday's match with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past Sumrall 40-20.
Pass Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Quitman, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 8-2 record.
