While South Side's victory against Des Arc wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The South Side Hornet narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Des Arc Eagles 7-6. The Hornet haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

South Side let Kai Nichols and Haze Hulse run wild. Nichols scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Hulse went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that Hulse hit this season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Mooney, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

South Side always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got South Side back to even at 2-2. As for Des Arc, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Side will take on Gentry in a tournament on Thursday. As for Des Arc, they will take on Nettleton at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
