Holy Spirit lost to Egg Harbor Township back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Spartans put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 17-8 victory. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Gavin Cohen, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Costablie, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Holy Spirit was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Egg Harbor Township only posted a batting average of .321.

Holy Spirit's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Egg Harbor Township, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Spirit will head out to take on Cedar Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Egg Harbor Township, they will challenge Millville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
