The Chambers Academy Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Edgewood Academy Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edgewood Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chambers Academy, who comes in off a win.
Chambers Academy had to kick off their season on the road last Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past Trinity Christian with a 46-42 victory.
Meanwhile, Edgewood Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evangel Christian Academy.
Despite the defeat, Edgewood Academy got a solid performance out of Johnny Groves, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. Brock Whitt was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Chambers Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Edgewood Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 23-4 record last season and are now at 2-5.
Chambers Academy came up short against Edgewood Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 49-37. Can Chambers Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
