Baseball Recap: Harbor Creek Has No Trouble Against Grove City

After losing to Grove City the last time they met, Harbor Creek decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Huskies walked away with a 7-3 win over the Eagles on Friday. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Huskies this season.

Noah Sprickman looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Lucas Hanson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Tobias Vahey was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Harbor Creek lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Harbor Creek and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Grove City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Harbor Creek is taking a road trip to take on Fort LeBoeuf at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Grove City, they will challenge Slippery Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
