The Carle Place Frogs came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Oyster Bay by a score of 37-24. That's another feather in the cap for Carle Place, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Carle Place to victory were Caitlin Leary and Paige Selhorn. Leary scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists, while Selhorn scored 17 points along with four steals. Leary hasn't dropped below two steals for 15 straight games. Ava Gomes was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 18 rebounds and two blocks.
Carle Place's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Oyster Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Carle Place will head out on the road to square off against the Rocks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oyster Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
