After soaring to 75 points the game before, Joaquin were a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Chapel Hill at home and fell 69-15. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Joaquin in their matchups with Chapel Hill: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Normangee took their match at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 74-43 victory over Neches. The win was just what Normangee needed coming off of a 57-36 loss in their prior game.
Normangee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Kirven, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kirven has scored at least 25% of Normangee's points. Another player making a difference was Dallas Jones, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Joaquin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Normangee, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
