The Lakeland Christian Vikings will head out on the road to  square off against  the Davenport Broncos at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Lakeland Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

  Kinley Lawson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than seven  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  McKenna Gravitt was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cali Thornton, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Davenport can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Ridge Community with a sharp  14-3 victory. The  win was just what Davenport needed coming off of  a  15-4 loss in their prior  contest.
  Makayla Gonzalez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   two  hits. Gonzalez was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Madison Bergeron was a standout: she scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Lyric Pittman, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Lakeland Christian pushed their record up to 12-0 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 18.3 runs per game. As for Davenport, their record now sits at 7-4.
 Monday's   game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lakeland Christian has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .615. However, it's not like Davenport struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .503. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
