Dewey is still undefeated this season after their game against Sequoyah on Monday, but Sequoyah came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Bulldoggers came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Indians. The seven-run effort marked the Bulldoggers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Easton Davis made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Layne Gastel was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2025. Parker Garrison also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Dewey's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Sequoyah, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dewey will square off against Oklahoma Union at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sequoyah, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Keys at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
