Franklin Community is 1-9 against Mooresville since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Grizzly Cubs will head out to take on the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. Franklin Community is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Franklin Community was able to grind out a solid win over Columbus East, taking the game 10-7. The victory continues a trend for the Grizzly Cubs in their matchups with the Olympians: they've now won seven in a row.

Bryleigh Carlisle-Haltom spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Addie Martin was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Madynn Grant also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Franklin Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Columbus East only posted an OBP of .355.
Meanwhile, Mooresville waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bulldogs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Reagan Bauer was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Bauer was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Bauer wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sophie Culp, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Mooresville's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin Community, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Franklin Community hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Mooresville struggles in that department as they've averaged .379. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Franklin Community might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Mooresville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Grizzly Cubs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
