The Edison Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 63-49 to Trinity Christian. While losing is never fun, Edison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 667th in Ohio, while Trinity Christian is ranked 267th in West Virginia).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chayce Adams, who scored 22 points along with six assists and six rebounds. The game was Adams' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carter Hartsock, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Edison's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Trinity Christian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will square off against Southern at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Southern is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Trinity Christian will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Greenbrier West at 3:00 p.m. on December 29th.
