With a playoff game on the line, the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat David Emanuel Academy 56-14 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Westminster Schools of Augusta who now have seven in a row.
Westminster Schools of Augusta's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Franks, who rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Franks was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. Another player making a difference was Levi Murphey, who threw for 202 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Westminster Schools of Augusta's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for David Emanuel Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Westminster Schools of Augusta will take on Windsor Academy at 7:30 p.m. on November 18th. Windsor Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. David Emanuel Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
