The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Rushville-Industry Rockets  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Abingdon/Avon is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They blew past Macomb 13-5 on Saturday.
 Addy Onion made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over 5.1 innings pitched. Those  hits were  her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.

 In other batting news, Abingdon/Avon got a  massive  performance out of  Avery Stegall, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Stegall a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Taylor Ford, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and four  RBI.
 Abingdon/Avon  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in three consecutive  matchups.
Meanwhile, while Rushville-Industry put up plenty of  runs on Friday, the same  can't be said for Illini West. The Rockets put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp  13-0 victory. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.
  Italee Ford was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one  home run and six  RBI.  Devin Vogler was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
 Abingdon/Avon's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Rushville-Industry,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
