Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weeki Wachee). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-0 win over the Anclote Sharks. The Hornets have beaten the Sharks the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Sharks has come to flipping the script.

Richard Hanshaw had a dynamite game, throwing for 149 yards and three TDs while completing 90% of his passes, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (168.8). Leelen Wright helped Hanshaw out on the ground, rushing for 56 yards and a pair of scores.

Another reason for the win was Weeki Wachee's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Keavin Moss got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Weeki Wachee's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Anclote, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weeki Wachee will challenge Citrus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets will be up against the Hurricanes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 45 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Anclote, they will face off against Nature Coast Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Anclote their first taste of in-conference action this season.
