The Indian Creek Redskins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. The match between Indian Creek and Steubenville wasn't particularly close, with Indian Creek falling 54-39. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Indian Creek has scored all season.
Steubenville found their leader in underclassman Santino Haney, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. Haney hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Tre'von Wiggins was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Indian Creek's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Steubenville, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Indian Creek will head out on the road to challenge Weir at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Weir knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Indian Creek likes a good challenge. Steubenville won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Brooke at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Brooke is ranked 392nd in West Virginia, while Steubenville is ranked 387th in Ohio).
