They put the hurt on Guajome Park Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Stingrays yet this season.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Coastal Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-12.
Mariela Cordoba was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had five digs and five aces.
Cordoba wasn't the only good servers: Coastal Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Escondido Adventist Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Orange Glen. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since October 24, 2024.
