The Linden Eagles will face off against the Powers Catholic Chargers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Linden is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Lake Fenton hit Linden with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 12-2. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Linden saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addi Piotrovsky (2029), who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Powers Catholic had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Detroit Country Day 4-3 on Friday.

Alexa Glady made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Glady was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season.

Powers Catholic's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Linden, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-12.

Powers Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Linden hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .327. It's a different story for Powers Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .234. Will they be able to contain Linden's hitters?

Linden got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Powers Catholic by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
