The Indian Springs COYOTES entered their tilt with the San Bernardino Cardinals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Indian Springs snuck past San Bernardino with a 58-54 win on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Indian Springs, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Indian Springs can attribute much of their success to Zachai Jacobs, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Culberson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Despite the loss, San Bernardino saw an underclassman step up: George McEwen scored 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McEwen has scored all season. Alexis Quinteros was another key contributor, scoring two points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Indian Springs is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season. As for San Bernardino, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13.
Indian Springs will head out on the road to square off against Pacific at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. San Bernardino on the road again on Saturday and play against Serrano at 11:00 a.m. on January 20th.
