The West Adams Panthers will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Middle College Cougars at 4:00 p.m. West Adams has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Friday, West Adams got the win against Jefferson by a conclusive 67-44.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Middle College at home against Animo South Los Angeles on Friday as the team secured a 58-29 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Middle College to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ugonna Njoku, who scored 11 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Njoku has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lebron Hasan, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
West Adams' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-16. As for Middle College, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9.
West Adams barely slipped by Middle College when the teams last played back in December of 2017, winning 39-38. Will West Adams repeat their success, or does Middle College have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
