Baseball Recap: Davie Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Davie entered their tilt with R.J. Reynolds on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Demons 15-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 20-7 on Tuesday.

Colin Harrison looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Coy James, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Krause, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Davie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Davie pushed their record up to 10-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for R.J. Reynolds, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
