After 11 games on the road, Plant is heading back home. They will take on the Alonso Ravens at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Plant came up short against Lakewood and fell 48-39.
Alonso suffered their biggest loss since December 11, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 65-23 loss at the hands of Hillsborough. While losing is never fun, Alonso can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Hillsborough is ranked 215th).
Patty Kilkelly put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 14 points.
Plant's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Alonso, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Everything came up roses for Plant against Alonso when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 67-16 win. With Plant ahead 38-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.
