The Los Gatos Wildcats will challenge the Los Altos Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Gatos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Los Gatos gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Milpitas by a score of 8-3. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ava Norquist made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run.
In other batting news, Robyn Young was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Sickels, who went 1-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Los Gatos kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Los Altos couldn't beat Milpitas on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the seventh inning. The Eagles took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sabrina Neal was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Isabella Cirimele was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Los Altos' loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Los Gatos, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7-1.
Los Altos' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Los Gatos has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Los Altos, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 strikeouts. Will Los Gatos keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
