It was a good run, but the Chrisman Cardinals unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 31-20 to Milford. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chrisman in their matchups with Milford: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Chrisman saw an underclassman step up: Taylor Jones scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaidyn Alexander, who scored six points along with three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hunter Mowrey, who scored eight points along with 16 rebounds. Mowrey hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Jasmin Cullum, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Chrisman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Milford, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Chrisman will head out on the road to take on Georgetown-Ridge Farm at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milford, they will be playing at home against Cissna Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cissna Park is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
