After a string of three wins, the Preble Shawnee Arrows's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Bradford by a score of 34-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Preble Shawnee has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Preble Shawnee still got an impressive performance from Ashleigh Mondello-garrett, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Mondello-garrett continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caylee Hatmaker, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Preble Shawnee has fallen quite a ways from their 20-7 record last season and are now at 3-9. As for Bradford, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-10.
Preble Shawnee will take on Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Preble Shawnee in Ohio (Madison is ranked 190th, while Preble Shawnee is ranked 685th). As for Bradford, they will head out on the road to face off against National Trail at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
