After losing to the Northside - Jacksonville Monarchs the last time they met, the Havelock Rams decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Havelock came out on top against Northside - Jacksonville by a score of 44-37 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Havelock.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Havelock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adaija Cypress, who scored six points along with seven steals. Nevaeh George was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Northside - Jacksonville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lakyia Rogers, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sa'niyah Serrano, who scored 14 points.
Havelock's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Havelock will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against J.H. Rose at 6:30 p.m. As for Northside - Jacksonville, they will head out on the road to face off against New Bern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
