Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Deshler's Third in Last Four Outings

If Superior wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Deshler, they should've done a better job of containing Easton Nash. The Deshler Dragons took down the Superior Wildcats 62-47 on Tuesday thanks in part to Nash, who went 12 of 23 en route to 31 points along with seven boards and four steals. Those 31 points gave him a new career-high.

Superior lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Declan Miller, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colten Butler, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Deshler has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Superior, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deshler will head out to challenge Kenesaw at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kenesaw is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season. As for Superior, they will head out on the road to square off against Diller-Odell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
