The Bravo Knights pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Artesia 66-62. Bravo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Zion Staples, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds for Artesia. The game was Staples' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Joshua Martinez was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Bravo has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Artesia, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bravo's road trip will continue as they head out to face Torres at 4:30 p.m. on December 4th. Torres will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 809th, while Bravo is ranked 315th). As for Artesia, they will head out on the road to face off against Segerstrom at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
