Basketball Recap: Round Valley Victorious

Round Valley hadn't done well against Blue Ridge recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Round Valley Elks escaped with a win against the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. This was payback for the Elks, who suffered a 51-48 loss the last time these two teams met.

Round Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brennan Brown led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine boards. Joah Brown was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 12 points.
