Orange Lutheran has gone 9-1 against JSerra Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 3:30 p.m. Orange Lutheran will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Orange Lutheran is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: La Mirada, who was ranked seventh at the time (Orange Lutheran was ranked second). The Lancers blew past the Matadores 13-3 on Saturday. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Rylee Silva spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kai Minor was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Cate Medvitz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
Meanwhile, JSerra Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Santa Margarita on Thursday and fell 5-3.
JSerra Catholic also got a good showing from Liliana Escobar, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.
On the hitting side, Zena Edwards and Lauren Gaitley did some serious damage despite the final result: Edwards went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Gaitley went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Gaitley's first of the season.
JSerra Catholic has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Orange Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 20-3.
Orange Lutheran came out on top in a nail-biter against JSerra Catholic in their previous meeting on April 8th, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
