Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Bay Tornadoes walked away with it. They secured a  37-33 W over the Braves on Monday. The  win was just what Bay needed coming off of a  57-33 loss in their prior  matchup.
 Among those leading the charge was   Zoey Davis, who  scored ten points along with eight  rebounds and four  steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last four times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aiyana Hunt, who  scored eight points along with nine  rebounds.
 Walton's loss  came despite strong showings from  Kenzie Lassiter and  Sophia Parker.  Lassiter  scored 12 points, while  Parker  scored eight points along with seven  rebounds.
 Bay's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Walton,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-14.
 Bay is on the road again  on Wednesday and plays the Tigers on February 7th. Pensacola presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tornadoes in Florida (the Tigers are ranked 112th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 451st). Walton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
