Even though the Auburn Trojans scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Tahoma Bears still came out on top. Tahoma came out on top in a nail-biter against Auburn and snuck past 59-56. That's another feather in the cap for Tahoma, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Tahoma's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lily Cavanaugh led the charge by scoring 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Nettleton, who scored 18 points.
Tahoma's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Tahoma will face off against Bonney Lake at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. As for Auburn, they will head out on the road to face off against Beamer at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
