In what's become a running theme this season, the Okawville Rockets gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 59-23 victory over Red Bud at home. The win was nothing new for Okawville as they're now sitting on three straight.
Okawville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alayna Kraus out in front who scored 18 points along with three steals. Kraus is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Wienstroer, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Okawville's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Red Bud, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
Okawville will take on Civic Memorial at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Civic Memorial will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Red Bud, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Alton-Wood River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Kaylynn Buttry and Addi Dilley.
