The Hokes Bluff Eagles lost against the Glencoe Yellowjackets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hokes Bluff took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Glencoe. Hokes Bluff has struggled against Glencoe recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Glencoe can attribute much of their success to Alli Jo Amos, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Greene, who scored three points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Hokes Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Glencoe, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
Hokes Bluff will head out on the road to face off against Cleveland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Cleveland is ranked 313th, while Hokes Bluff is ranked 304th). Glencoe will be home for the holidays to greet Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
