Cushing came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over the Oologah Mustangs. Considering the Tigers have won three games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cushing's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Oologah, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cushing will challenge rival Wagoner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Roman Tucker and Keyshaun Brown. Meanwhile, Oologah is set to face off against their familiar foe Catoosa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
