The Simsboro Tigers will head out to take on the Bastrop Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Simsboro will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Simsboro is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-3 margin over Plain Dealing on Friday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by ten runs or more this season.

Kailee Hamilton was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was even better at the plate, scoring five runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Simsboro got a massive performance out of Ciara Caldwell, who scored five runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Caldwell has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jacoya Lewis, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Simsboro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Bastrop lost 13-6 to Summerfield on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kajoria Wilson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Jameria Tolbert was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Simsboro is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Bastrop, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13-1.
Everything went Simsboro's way against Bastrop in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Simsboro made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
