Basketball Game Preview: Stall Warriors vs. Summerville Green Wave

Stall is 1-9 against Summerville since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Stall Warriors will square off against the Summerville Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Stall is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since January 26, 2024 last Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-31 victory over Woodland. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Stall got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tamiyah Spillers out in front who posted nine points along with seven boards and four steals. Spillers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played. Brianna Williams was another key player, putting up seven points along with five boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Summerville waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They took their match with ease, bagging a 65-25 victory over the Knights. The Green Wave have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Summerville pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Stall, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Stall ended up a good deal behind Summerville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 55-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Summerville's Molly Daugherty, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds.
