Softball Recap: Onalaska Has No Trouble Against Sparta

Onalaska never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Sparta Spartans 10-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hilltoppers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Lauren Pica 2027, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Zoey Lichty 2027 was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Onalaska always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sparta only posted an OBP of .211.

Onalaska now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sparta, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Onalaska will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Tomah at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sparta, they are taking a road trip to square off against Luther at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
