Lemont had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Thornton Fractional North Meteors. The Lemont HS might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by six runs or more this season.

Lemont pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Thornton Fractional North, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Lemont beat the Meteors by a score of 7-0 later that day.
