The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sulligent, who took down 332nd ranked Sulligent, 30-17. Keevontez Shepherd ran for 70 yards in the win.
Hatch made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,482 from 11,827. The improvement came about via a 30-17 victory over the Blue Devils last week.
Lamar County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dallas Cockerham threw for 73 and one touchdown and Brandon Walker had 53 yards receiving. On the ground Alex Wheeler chipped in 92 yards. Devin Dias helped Lamar County's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
Bryce Myles made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs topped Hale County. The 5-foot-9 freshman grabbed two interceptions.
The Bobcats' De'Rodrick Norfleet and Brandon Jones have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 2A Region 4 in both passing and receiving yards. Norfleet has thrown for 1522 yards this season, while Jones, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 29 catches for 750 yards. Lamar County's Cockerham leads the league in rushing yards with 758.
