On Thursday Fairmont Prep will take on Firebaugh at 7:00 PM. Fairmont Prep are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.
It's always hard to lose, and it's even harder to lose by a single point. Just ask Fairmont Prep, the unfortunate recipient of a 39-40 loss at the hands of Capistrano Valley Christian last Thursday. The loss shouldn't obscure the performances of junior Lui Ala jr, who threw 4 TDs and picked up 67 yards on the ground, and freshman Jason Terry, who rushed for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns. If you haven't heard Terry's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in Fairmont Prep's past five games.
Meanwhile, Firebaugh have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their matchup against Ribet Academy two weeks ago making it four winless games in a row. Firebaugh didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 8-12 to Ribet Academy.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Find out which team's record gets a tune-up and which team falls into a funk by watching the game and checking back on MaxPreps for the full scoop.
