If Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lourdes Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Jenna Acosta. Lourdes Academy put the hurt on Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Acosta, who had five digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

While Lourdes Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-5, 25-22.

Lourdes Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lourdes Academy will welcome Westminster Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
