Hannibal has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jordan-Elbridge took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hannibal, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Hannibal was able to grind out a solid win over Solvay, taking the game 44-37.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Jordan-Elbridge's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Skaneateles.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Abbie Ahern, who scored nine points along with 14 rebounds and four blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Hildebrant, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Hannibal's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Jordan-Elbridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
Hannibal came up short against Jordan-Elbridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 42-31. Can Hannibal avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
