Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They took down Loyola-Sacred Heart 22-6. The 22-point effort marked the Scotties' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Wyatt Sugg, who rushed for 184 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries. Sugg got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 99 yards. Khye Gamas also helped out as he racked up 114 rushing yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 182 rushing yards in five consecutive contests.
Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Loyola-Sacred Heart's QB won't forget William Kirkland anytime soon given he sacked him 2.5 times.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Columbus beat Huntley Project 21-15 on Saturday.
Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua better keep an eye on Colter Chamberlin. He was instrumental in Columbus' win, throwing for 235 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 45 yards. Chamberlin's passing game has become a key predictor of the Cougars' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.
