The MonDak [Westby/Grenora] Mon-Dak Thunder can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 47-46 photo finish over Culbertson. The win was just what MonDak [Westby/Grenora] needed coming off of a 70-21 defeat in their prior matchup.
Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mark Kirkaldie, who scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kirkaldie has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Deen, who scored 12 points.
MonDak [Westby/Grenora]'s win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Culbertson, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
MonDak [Westby/Grenora] does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Culbertson, they will square off against Bainville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Montana (Culbertson is ranked 116th, while Bainville is ranked 113th).
